Time travel

Do you ever wonder what it would be like to go back to a place you loved, years on? Would it still take your breath away? Or have you changed so much you’d wonder what you ever saw in it in the first place?

I am responding to this post for two reasons. The first is that in a sense, we do go back in time…everyday. Or rather, it revisits us.

That brings me to my second point: thank you for watching my film, although I wasn’t sure I understood your comment. I made that film from three different silent movies and chose the music for it. My inspiration was my grandmother, who graduated from college the same year that the rocking woman was filmed. You see, that was the world into which she entered when she was around your age. And she never forgot the despair she experienced.

This kind of thing is lost on most of us nowadays, especially hear in America. Maybe that’s a good thing, but then again…maybe not.

    Thank you.
